Someone

Someone connected over a cup of coffee,
Someone connected at a bus stop.
Someone connected while boarding a flight,
Someone connected at a nearby shop.
Someone connected when you were alone,
Someone connected when you were lost.
Someone raised voice for you,
Someone stood just next to you.

This someone forgot to ask your name,
This someone didn’t pay attention to your colour.
This someone ignored your gender,
This someone acknowledged that you deserve better.

We all have met this ‘someone’ somewhere.
We often try to recall that face.
We fail sometimes.
That’s ok.

We all belong and that’s enough.
We all belong to this earth, that’s enough.
